Roland Blaise
Roland’s interest in building science began in 2004 with his first sealed crawl space. Since then he has sealed over 1,500 crawl spaces. Not content with average ways of sealing the spaces Roland has always looked for better ways of sealing. Together Roland and Bruce have come up with a proven system that has been copied by others many times. In 2008 Roland successfully completed Resnets Home Energy Rating Systems Training and Certification. In 2008 Roland also became a NAHB Green Verifier.
So whether you are looking to build a new Green Energy Star Certified Home or improve the comfort and efficiency of the one you live in, Roland would love to talk with you and help you achieve your goals!
Bruce Eickhoff
Bruce has been working in the building industry for over 25 years. He started painting houses as a college student at Campbell University. Bruce went on to working on every aspect of building a house from foundation to roof. He started sealing crawl spaces in 2004. From seeing the vast improvement and impact it had on a home's efficiency it peeked his interest to becoming more involved in the building science of a home. In 2008 Bruce became a HERS Rater and has certified over 100 homes to the Energy Star Standard.
Bruce has a builder's background in the building science industry. He relates well to builders and gives clear, understandable instruction to anyone wanting to build an Energy Star Certified Home but doesn't understand how to! Bruce has recently become certified in Radon Testing and Remediation. He continues to see the opportunity to show you how to make your house a healthier, more efficient place to live.
Jeff M. Ammons, PE - President
A native of Raleigh, NC, Jeff grew up around the family business of construction and developing and spent most afternoons and summers working in the field through college. Jeff graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a concentration in Environmental and Water Resources.
After graduation, Jeff worked several years with a local Environmental Engineering firm. He then achieved his Professional Engineer designation. Jeff's experience at the environmental firm included working on remediation design and implementation at various industrial and commercial projects and working on EPA Superfund sites. These past experiences proved invaluable when he founded his own building company in 1994. Jeff's company has built over 200 homes and many commercial buildings from multi-family to medical offices.
Jeff was recognized by the Home Builder's Association of Wake County as the 1999 Home Builder of the Year. Additionally, he has won several Parade of Homes awards. Jeff's construction company was one of the area's first to be part of the EPA's Energy Star program.
Morgan H. Crawford - Program Manager
Morgan has had a passion for green and energy efficient building as far back as he can remember. Building has been in his blood for three generations, starting with his grandfather, who had him framing houses while still in diapers. Morgan's mother is an interior decorator who has designed hundreds of custom homes, mainly on Florida's west coast. The work that his mother and grandfather did always interested him, but Morgan knew there were more important elements than aesthetics and structure.
While working on his Master's degree, Morgan discovered that this important element was energy efficiency. His pursuit of this led him to work for the N.C. Solar Center, Troxler Environmental Services and Southern Energy Management. Morgan is a National Association of Home Builders Green Home Verifier and Home Energy Rating System HERS Rater. He has several years of experience designing, inspecting, analyzing and certifying homes to various Green Building and Energy Efficiency Standards.
